Georgian Prime Minister hails military on 34th anniversary of Defence Forces

In an address at the celebration marking the 34th anniversary of the Georgian Defence Forces, the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday praised the nation's soldiers for their unwavering dedication and service.
Kobakhidze emphasised the honour and responsibility inherent in being a Georgian soldier, highlighting the hard work and dedication required to uphold this esteemed status.
“To be called a Georgian soldier is both a great honor and an immense responsibility. It takes great effort and dedication to carry this status with dignity, which is why the Georgian soldier deserves the trust and love of the people”, the PM said.
“Today is a special day in the modern history of Georgia. It is a day when we proudly demonstrate our independence and sovereignty. Together with you, we celebrate the peaceful and bright future of our country. Over the years, our Defence Forces have overcome numerous serious challenges. I promise that we will continue to strengthen our Defense Forces and advance the progress and development of our nation”, he continued.
He further acknowledged the military’s achievements and professionalism.
“Every combat success of our military combines numerous examples of perseverance, strength, and the manifestation of a fighting spirit. Your dignity, professionalism, and dedication are unanimously recognized, both in Georgia and abroad”, Kobakhidze concluded.
