Jeffrey Sachs highlights Georgia's role as Middle Corridor country

Georgia's position as a Middle Corridor country was highlighted on Tuesday in a meeting between the renowned American economist and professor Jeffrey Sachs and Natia Turnava, the Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia.
At the Lamfalussy Conference in Hungary, organised by the National Bank of Hungary, Sachs highlighted Georgia's position as a Middle Corridor country, a critical transit and logistics route linking Europe and Asia.
“I am pleased to attend this event, which serves as an excellent gathering of leaders of central banks from around the world. The discussions cover crucial topics. I am delighted to be here alongside Natia Turnava, the [Acting] Governor of Georgia’s National Bank. I had an excellent conversation with her. I look forward to visiting Tbilisi as soon as possible because I am always warmly welcomed whenever I am there”, Sachs said.
Discussion topics included economic cooperation, investment opportunities, and strategies for improving living standards in Georgia.
They also discussed the impact of global geopolitical shifts and the role of the new United States administration in fostering collaboration.
