Georgian PM, Chinese Ambassador discuss strategic partnership

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Zhou Qian, the Chinese Ambassador to the country, on Friday discussed the cooperation in the areas envisaged by the strategic partnership agreement between the two nations and the positive dynamics of the development of trade and economic ties.
Kobakhidze once again expressed his condolences to the Ambassador over the devastating earthquake in China, which claimed many lives, and wished the injured a speedy recovery, the Government Administration said.
The meeting stressed that the free trade agreement, visa-free travel, and people-to-people connections were representing a “great opportunity” for further development of bilateral relations.
The officials confirmed their readiness to further strengthen “result-oriented” cooperation.
