Georgian Dream saved army's honour, will further reveal Saakashvili's crimes, says Parliament Vice Speaker

Thea Tsulukiani, the Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament and Chair of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Parliament examining alleged crimes committed by the former United National Movement Government between 2003 and 2012, on Monday said that the Georgian Dream Government had formed a special task force to defend the country's interests in international courts.
In her remarks over the matter, Tsulukiani noted that she, as the Minister of Justice at the time, led the group, which successfully safeguarded the dignity of the Georgian army in both the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
The Vice Speaker further stressed that the ruling team would not accept any criticism on this matter from the opposition and would continue to expose new evidence of crimes committed by the imprisoned ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili and other high-ranking officials.
“We will not accept any criticism on this issue, but you will not stop us. We will reveal new facts about Saakashvili’s crimes. We will also further expose criminal acts committed by Kezerashvili, Merabishvili, and other political figures - whether related to war, imprisonment, or property rights violations”, she said.
“Moreover, it is becoming evident that since 2004, Elene Khoshtaria [a leader of the opposition Coalition for Change] oversaw the beginning of the destruction of the Georgian army when thousands of professionals were dismissed. This is how citizens, soldiers, and reservists were left face-to-face with Russia and separatists. We are continuing our work in this direction”, the Vice Speaker concluded.
