Ruling party official: Zelenskyy trusted Western bureaucrats, resulting in virtual destruction of Ukraine - Georgian Gov't trusts only Georgian people, which brought peace, economic growth to country

Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday claimed the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believed Western bureaucrats and Ukraine was practically destroyed, while the Georgian Government believed the Georgian people, and as a result, Georgia had not become a second front and moved forward with double-digit economic growth.

In his remarks, Mdinaradze noted that Zelenskyy's interview with the American podcaster Lex Fridman, on the one hand, was a very “significant” revelation of the issues that “our country, the modern world, and Ukraine have gone through over the past three-four years”.

“At one time, Ukraine was a country that possessed nuclear weapons, and in exchange for security, they were forced to give up a kind of solid guarantee for the country’s security, and Ukraine’s security disappeared. Over the past years, many people have asked us: why don’t you trust the West, why don’t you extend your hand, but as soon as someone asks why you don’t trust them - those who trusted and believed the bureaucrats and leaders of our friendly countries in recent years, what did they gain? We saw it in Ukraine”, the ruling party official said.

“Zelenskyy believed, acted with them, and the country is practically destroyed. We didn’t believe anyone, we trusted the Georgian people, their call for this country to be more independent, to focus on the economy, real democracy, and true Christian, traditional European values, as a result of which we physically survived, and this country didn’t turn into the second front. We moved forward with double-digit economic growth. These are numbers, and no one can deny them anywhere. We became number one in Europe in terms of economic growth amid this immense turbulence”, he continued.

Mdinaradze further added that “wherever it benefits Georgia, we will cooperate, however, we will not fulfill anyone's orders, especially when it comes to anti-Georgian orders, recommendations, instructions”.
