Giorgi Kalandarishvili, the Chair of the Georgian Central Election Commission, on Friday said that the interim report from the Prosecutor’s Office had debunked allegations of election fraud, emphasising the transparency of all related processes.

In his interview with Imedi TV, Kalandarishvili highlighted that all procedures during the vendor and audit company selection processes were conducted with full transparency.

“When the vendor company was selected, as well as when the audit company was chosen, all these processes were entirely transparent. There were no requests or official recommendations suggesting that specific requirements should be considered in these processes. This allows us to conclude that the evaluations or claims of mistrust being made are purely manipulative and aimed at misleading the public”, Kalandarishvili said.

Kalandarishvili underscored the findings of the Prosecutor’s Office report, noting that “the interim report from the Prosecutor’s Office has reaffirmed that the allegations concerning possible election fraud are absolutely baseless”.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia on Wednesday released information on the interim results of the ongoing investigation into alleged election fraud during the October 2024 parliamentary elections.

The Office noted that up to 800 investigative and procedural actions had already been carried out at this stage, including a number of investigative experiments conducted with the participation of foreign experts within the framework of the investigation.
