Ruling party MP says US Embassy’s actions directly contradict publicly stated priorities of President Trump, Secretary of State Rubio

Levan Machavariani, an MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Monday responded to the statement issued by the United States Embassy to the country, claiming the Embassy’s actions were directly contradicting publicly stated priorities of the United States President Donald Trump and the Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The United States Embassy on Monday said that “the statements of Mr. [Mamuka] Mdinaradze [the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party] today are categorically false and demonstrate a lack of understanding of what the United States Embassy does to support President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio's top priorities of making America safer, stronger and more prosperous”.
In his remarks, Machavariani stressed that the Embassy was harshly interfering in the country’s internal affairs and giving additional directives to Georgian agents of the deep state regarding the radicalisation of the developments.
“It can be stated with full responsibility that the United States Embassy in Georgia is not only doing anything to support the main priorities of President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio, but on the contrary, its actions directly contradict their publicly stated priorities - it is blatantly interfering in Georgia's internal affairs and giving additional directives to the Georgian agents of the deep state regarding the radicalisation of the developments”, the ruling party official said.
