Georgian FM says Gov’t respects other countries, expects the same from them

International cooperation and diplomatic relations should be based on mutual respect, stated Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili while discussing interactions with foreign ambassadors.
“Unfortunately, we have repeatedly witnessed violations of these principles and approaches by ambassadors in relation to Georgia”, Botchorishvili noted, emphasising that such actions contradict the norms and rules of international relations.
The Foreign Minister underscored that for the Georgian Government, it was crucial to maintain partnerships founded on equality and mutual respect.
“We respect other countries, and accordingly, we expect the same from them. This is primarily reflected in the conduct and actions of diplomatic representatives in the host country”, she added.
Botchorishvili's remarks highlight the Georgian Government's stance on fostering respectful and balanced diplomatic relations with its international partners.
