Leader of opposition Lelo party claims Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey, China, Armenia, Azerbaijan countries “stuck in swamp”

Grigol Gegelia, a leader of the opposition Lelo party, on Friday made controversial remarks regarding Georgia’s several partner countries, calling them “states stuck in a swamp”.
In his interview, Gegelia questioned Georgia’s international standing, asking, “can you recall any state recognising the Georgian Government?”
When the journalist mentioned that the Georgian Government seemed to be aligning with Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey, China, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, Gegelia responded that “these states that you have listed are countries stuck in a swamp”.
