Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said Georgia had “nothing to do with” an America governed by the deep state, reiterating his Government's desire for relations with a truly independent and sovereign United States.
“We have nothing to do with an America of the deep state. If the deep state is going to govern the US for the next four years, as it has done over the past four years, then we want nothing to do with such an America”, the PM said in an interview with the Georgian Public Broadcasting.
He further reiterated that his Government valued relations only with a US that was free from the deep state influence.
“The deep state has caused serious harm to our country through the hands of the American bureaucracy. It was under their orchestration that the Rose Revolution happened in 2003, which brought about a nine-year bloody regime, governance by agents, and a loss of 20 percent of our territories. There were murders, torture, media takeovers, and business racketeering - all this systemically organised”, he concluded.
