Georgian, US military officials discuss deepening military cooperation

Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, the Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces, on Wednesday met with a delegation from the US Georgia National Guard, led by Major General Richard Wilson, the Guard's Commander.
The meeting focused on enhancing military cooperation through the State Partnership Program, as well as joint participation in multinational military exercises.
General Matiashvili expressed gratitude for the continued practical support provided by the United States.
The visit coincides with the 30th anniversary of the partnership between the Georgian National Guard and the Georgia National Guard of the United States.
The United States delegation was also received by Brigadier General Roman Jokhadze, the Head of the Georgian National Guard, who emphasised the long-standing and successful cooperation between the two sides.
