Lasha Darsalia, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, on Thursday reviewed the 63rd round of the Geneva International Discussions by saying that the primary points of discussion included the necessity for Russia to fully comply with its international obligations under the EU-brokered ceasefire agreement of August 12, 2008, and ensuring the safe and dignified return of internally displaced persons and refugees to their homes in the Russian-occupied territories.

The Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality on Saturday strongly condemned the so-called “runoff of presidential elections” held in the Russian-occupied region of Abkhazia, calling it a blatant violation of international law and Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders.

Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism meeting takes place in Ergneti
