Tbilisi to launch first batch of modernised metro trains

Residents of Tbilisi will soon be served by a renewed metro fleet, as the first batch of new metro trains is now ready for operation, Tbilisi City Hall announced.
According to the municipality, the modernization of the metro system and the procurement of new rolling stock are among the key priorities in the development of the capital’s public transportation network.
City Hall said the new trains will significantly enhance passenger comfort, safety, and overall service quality, while bringing the Tbilisi Metro closer to modern international standards.
