Georgia sets new tourism record with 2.3 million tourist visits in first half of 2025

Georgia has achieved a new milestone in its tourism sector, recording an unprecedented 2.3 million tourist visits between January and June 2025.

This historic high represents a significant boost for the country's economy. The total number of international traveler visits reached 3.2 million during the same period.

According to data released by the National Tourism Administration, Georgia welcomed 3,153,741 international traveler visits in the first two quarters of 2025, marking a 4.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

More specifically, international tourist visits (defined as visits lasting 24 hours or more) totaled 2,270,363, a 6.9% rise from January-June 2024.

The second quarter of 2025 (April-June) also saw a historic maximum, with 1,311,416 international tourist visits, representing a 10.7% increase over the second quarter of 2024.

Overall international visits in Q2 reached 1,838,913, up 6.9% from the previous year.
