Georgian PM: Georgia sees genuine opportunity to build more peaceful and interconnected region

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said the challenges facing the country reminded Georgia that national stability and success could not be separated from the wider regional context.
In his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Kobakhidze stressed that the country saw a genuine opportunity to turn a new page and build a more peaceful and interconnected region.
“We have consistently sought to act as an honest broker in regional initiatives, fostering cooperation and contributing to peaceful solutions.Today, we see a genuine opportunity to turn a new page and build a more peaceful and interconnected region based on shared commitment to a better future”, he said.
“This spirit of cooperation must also translate into tangible economic opportunities for the region”, Kobakhidze noted.
