Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday wished Europe maximum progress, development, and prosperity as the most precious space for Georgia.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze highlighted very worrying trends across Europe, such as total migration, which was causing European states to lose their national and religious identity.
“Today is Europe Day, I would like to remember this date and we wish for Europe, our continent, development and prosperity. Today, there are very worrying trends across Europe, there is total migration, which is causing European states to lose their national and religious identity, there are serious problems, there are serious economic problems. A very large part of the EU member states are experiencing an economic downturn, an economic recession”, the PM said.
He noted that the Georgian Government would like to see these trends in Europe turned in a positive direction, which was very important for not only the European continent itself but for Georgia as well.
“We would like to see these trends in Europe turn in a positive direction. This is very important both for the continent as a whole and for our country in particular, because the economic crisis in Europe is risky for any country in our region, so we wish Europe maximum progress, development and prosperity, this is our continent, the most precious space for us, therefore, the development of Europe means more prosperity for Georgia as well”, Kobakhidze concluded.
