Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Sunday commended the efforts of the Parliament’s Temporary Investigative Commission examining crimes committed by the former United National Movement Government between 2003 and 2012, highlighting the significant work it had undertaken.

In his remarks, Kobakhidze expressed anticipation of the commission’s final report, which he described as a “fairly comprehensive and substantive document”.

“Very important work has been carried out by the investigative commission. We are all eagerly awaiting the final report. We know that a fairly comprehensive and substantive document is being prepared. Let’s not get ahead of events and wait for the content of the document”, the PM said.

Thea Tsulukiani, the Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament and Chair of the Parliament’s Temporary Investigative Commission, on Thursday said the Commission was set to release a report that would live up to the ambitious goals set at its inception.

In her interview with Imedi TV, Tsulukiani noted that the upcoming document would be far from mere political assessments or declarations.
