Georgian Defence Minister participates in Ramstein Group format meeting in Brussels

Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani on Wednesday participated in the 26th meeting of the Ramstein Group format at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
The meeting was attended by defence ministers and high-ranking officials from NATO member and partner countries.
United Kingdom Secretary of State for Defence John Healey opened the meeting, while newly appointed United States Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth delivered a keynote address.
The meeting discussed the ongoing war in Ukraine and the need for continued support to the country.
The Ramstein Format meetings were established in April 2022 at the initiative of the United States.
The 26th meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group was chaired by the United Kingdom.
