Georgian Government continues reforms to build solid foundation for EU membership, says Georgian Foreign Minister

Georgia’s vice prime minister and minister of foreign affairs Maka Botchorishvili said on Friday that the Georgian government continues to take important steps to lay a solid foundation for membership in the European Union.
While speaking at the Delphi Economic Forum, Botchorishvili stressed that the Georgian government remains committed to ongoing development and reforms aimed at strengthening its path toward European integration.
“We continue to advance development and work on reforms that are crucial for the country, in order to ultimately create a solid foundation for joining the European Union, which is the choice of Georgia and the Georgian people”, she said.
As part of the forum, the Georgian vice prime minister participated in a working session titled “The protection provided by enlargement: security as a new pillar of accession”, where discussions focused on the growing role of security in the EU enlargement process.
