Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday highlighted the importance of maintaining peace for the development of the country.
In his interview with Imedi TV, Kobakhidze noted that peace was a “necessary” condition for a country’s development and economic growth.
He further added that Ukraine’s example “clearly” showed that a country’s development was “impossible” without peace.
“There is no development without peace, it's simply impossible. Ukraine’s example clearly demonstrates this - the economy is destroyed, infrastructure is ruined, and the humanitarian and social situation is dire. A significant part of the population lacks access to basic utilities such as water, electricity, and natural gas - these are basic necessities. Peace is a necessary condition for a country’s development and economic growth. We have very impressive results, which we presented in numbers during the election programme presentation”, Kobakhidze concluded.
