Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday said Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and Honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, was the “main guarantor” of peace and development in the country.

In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that his Government's main task was to maintain peace and to ensure the country’s further development.

“Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili is the leader of the processes, he is the main guarantor of peace and development in this country, and of course, all his messages were related to relevant visions”, the PM said.

“We have a very clear vision, our main fundamental task is to maintain peace in the country, to ensure the country's further development, and for this it is fundamentally important for everyone to go to the polls on October 26 and that the Georgian Dream [party] secures a constitutional majority. If we want to ensure solid, stable development of this country once and for all, we need a very convincing victory in these elections”, he concluded.
