Orbán hails Georgian PM Kobakhidze as “champion of patriots” at CPAC Hungary

During his keynote address at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Budapest, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Saturday offered high praise for his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze, describing him as a “champion of patriots from the Caucasus”.
In his address, Orbán characterised Georgia as the “bravest nation in Europe” today, citing the country's ability to maintain its sovereignty despite significant geopolitical pressures.
“Friends, among us is a champion of patriots from the Caucasus - the prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze. His country is in the jaws of the Russian bear. On the backdrop of continuous blackmail from the European Union, and despite constant subversive activities from liberals, he is the one who manages to defend Georgia’s sovereignty. Today, Georgia is the bravest state and nation in Europe”, the Hungarian PM said.
