Georgian Parliament Speaker: language of hatred, contempt only weapon left in hands of external forces to disrupt Georgia

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Tuesday said the only weapon left in the hands of external forces to disrupt Georgia was the language of hatred and contempt.
In his remarks, Papuashvili noted that it was important to support the Human Rights Protection Department and to take away hatred as a weapon from the so-called pro-European forces.
“Brussels and its representatives have brought the idea of a peace project called the European Union to this point. Today, it is associated with hatred and violence in the eyes of the Georgian people. It is important that this weapon is neutralized. I hope that this department will be very active”, the Speaker said.
“I call on the public that this is not Georgian, what they have brought us into, these are tactics of hatred and hatred imposed from the outside, which are developed by the special services to divide and oppose the nation”, he concluded.
The newly created department for combating hate speech of the Human Rights Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs began operating on June 1.
