Georgian Economy Minister: Georgia will host UN Tourism Innovation Forum at Kutaisi Technology Hub in 2027

Georgian Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili on Friday said that Georgia would host the UN Tourism Innovation Forum at the Kutaisi Technology Hub in 2027, under the auspices of the UN Tourism Organization.
Kvrivishvili announced the agreement during a visit to Kutaisi, where she hosted UN Tourism Secretary General Shaikha Al Nuwais.
“It is important that, during the visit, we reached an agreement with the Secretary General, and Georgia will host the Innovation Forum under the auspices of UN Tourism in 2027 at this building, the Kutaisi Technology Hub”, she said.
“This will be a very important initiative and a major international event for our country, which will raise awareness of Georgia as a tourism destination, promote the development of the technology and innovation sectors in Georgia, and help local startups establish connections with international companies”, Kvrivishvili noted.
According to the Minister, hosting the forum will also create an opportunity for Georgia to welcome international companies and representatives of the global tourism and innovation sectors.
