Georgian PM: restoring territorial integrity through peaceful means remains Government’s top priority

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday said restoring the country’s territorial integrity through peaceful means remained the Government’s foremost national objective, stressing that patience, consistency and pragmatic policies were essential to achieving this goal.
Kobakhidze made the remarks at an event marking the handover of apartments to internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The Prime Minister said the issue of Georgia’s territorial integrity remained a central priority for the Government and emphasised that its approach to resolving the matter was based on peaceful means.
“We never forget, even for a moment, our foremost task, which is the restoration of our territorial integrity. Ultimately, our main goal is for you to receive dignified housing in your own native region, and this will remain a top priority for our Government. Restoring our country’s territorial integrity through peaceful means is our national dream. With patience, consistent and sound pragmatic policies, we will ultimately achieve this goal”, Kobakhidze said.
