Ilia II, the Catholicos Patriarch of Georgia’s Orthodox Christian Church, on Saturday cast his vote in the local self-government elections.
The Georgian Patriarchate shared photos of the Patriarch participating in the election process on social media.
“Today, on October 4, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, took part in the local self-government elections”, - reads the message released by the Patriarchate.
