Georgian, Singaporean PMs discuss potential for deepening trade, economic, investment ties

Long-standing and productive relations between Georgia and Singapore, based on mutual respect and cooperation in areas of shared interest, were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and his Singaporean counterpart Lawrence Wong.
The officials discussed the importance of further intensifying political dialogue and expanding productive cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
The leaders also reviewed the potential for deepening trade, economic and investment ties.
In this context, they discussed the economic and structural reforms implemented in Georgia, the country’s strong economic growth and its favourable business environment.
The meeting highlighted Georgia’s important role in enhancing connectivity between Europe and Asia.
The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation in the transport and tourism sectors.
Kobakhidze invited the Singaporean Prime Minister to pay an official visit to Georgia.
