Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev arrives in Georgia on state visit

Azerbaijan’s president Ilham Aliyev on Monday arrived in Georgia on a state visit, accompanied by an official delegation.
At Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport, president Aliyev was welcomed by Georgia’s minister of foreign affairs, Maka Botchorishvili.
As part of the visit, president Aliyev is scheduled to hold meetings with Georgia’s president Mikheil Kavelashvili, and prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze. Following the meetings, the parties are expected to deliver joint statements to the media.
An official welcoming ceremony will take place at the Presidential Palace of Georgia, after which a one-on-one meeting between Mikheil Kavelashvili and Ilham Aliyev is scheduled.
Aliyev will also lay a wreath at the Heroes’ Memorial in Heroes Square and pay tribute to the memory of Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev.
