Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday said Georgia was experiencing dynamic development, highlighting its strong economic growth and favourable investment environment for foreign investors, including those from Azerbaijan.
Speaking at a joint briefing with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Aliyev noted that the discussions reaffirmed the close and aligned partnership between the two countries.
“The issues we discussed today once again highlight that Georgia and Azerbaijan stand together, united in spirit. Our historical roots provide a strong foundation for further deepening bilateral cooperation. This has been the case for centuries and will remain so. We continue to develop as independent, sovereign states, strengthening friendly, neighborly and brotherly relations, while successfully advancing our region”, he said.
“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you, Mr. Prime Minister, and your government on your achievements. Georgia is developing dynamically, with clearly visible economic growth. You have created a very favorable investment environment in the country, offering excellent conditions for many foreign investors, including Azerbaijani investors, to contribute further to this success, which in turn supports political stability and economic growth”, the president continued.
Aliyev further emphasised the prime minister as the guarantor that the Georgian government’s policy would continue to develop for the benefit of the Georgian people.
“We are pleased that our relations will continue to deepen consistently and dynamically”, he noted.
“In all international organisations, we support each other’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and the inviolability of our borders. This has always been the case and will remain so in the future”, the president concluded.
