Israel reaffirms friendship with Georgia in Independence Day message

Gideon Saar, the Foreign Minister of Israel, has extended congratulations to Georgia on the occasion of its Independence Day.

The congratulatory letter was addressed to Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, and delivered to the Georgian Foreign Ministry in Tbilisi.

In his message, Saar conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the Israeli Government and people, emphasising the long-standing friendship between the two countries.

“Your Excellency, on the occasion of the celebration of Independence Day, on behalf of the Government and the people of the State of Israel, I extend my warm congratulations to you personally and to the Georgian people. Israel and Georgia are connected by more than two millennia of friendship, based on mutual respect, harmony, and fruitful cooperation. Our bilateral relations, rooted in the deep historical ties between our countries and peoples, have been successfully developing in recent years across a range of areas, including agriculture, tourism, culture, and technology. Israel is ready to further deepen our relations and expand cooperation in all fields. Please accept, Your Excellency, my best wishes for Georgia’s prosperity and my deep respect”, the letter states.
