Kazakh President emphasises Georgia’s progress under “strong leadership” of Georgian PM Irakli Kobakhidze

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Monday highlighted the transition of bilateral relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan to a new stage.

In his speech at the ceremony awarding Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze the First-Class Order of Honor, Tokayev highlighted Georgia’s progress under Kobakhidze’s leadership and expressed confidence that the country would continue to advance successfully along the path of sustainable development in the years ahead.

“Under your strong leadership, Georgia is successfully implementing large-scale social and economic reforms, improving the well-being of all citizens, while strengthening its international position and strengthening its role as an important regional partner. It is truly impressive to see this distinctive path of development of your country. I am confident that Georgia will continue to successfully advance on the path of sustainable development in the future”, the President said.

“Kazakhstan values ​​Georgia as a strong and successful state. Our countries have deep historical ties, common cultural values, and centuries-old traditions of friendship and mutual understanding. The Kazakh people have great respect for the Georgian people, and we sincerely appreciate your rich history and unique culture. The Georgian diaspora is an integral part of the Kazakh public and is a living bridge connecting our countries. In recent years, our bilateral relations have entered a new stage. Political dialogue has intensified, bilateral trade is steadily growing, and economic cooperation is expanding”, he continued.

Tokayev further added that Kazakhstan and Georgia cooperated effectively in the international arena and consistently supported each other on important international issues.
