The Georgian Government on Friday extended financial assistance for Ukrainian citizens and individuals holding permanent residence permits in Ukraine who entered Georgia due to the ongoing war in Ukraine until October 1, 2026.
The decision was made by order of the Government of Georgia and signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The Social Service Agency will be responsible for administering and providing the financial assistance.
The assistance measures were originally introduced to support those affected by the war in Ukraine.
Under the new order, the GEL 45 per person payment will cease from the following month for individuals who have left Georgian territory.
Similarly, the GEL 300 per family payment for housing conditions will be discontinued if all family members depart from Georgia.
