Georgian, Turkish Interior Ministers highlight result-oriented security cooperation based on mutual trust

Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili said on Tuesday that the visit of his Turkish counterpart, Mustafa Çiftçi, had once again demonstrated that security cooperation between Georgia and Turkey is result-oriented and based on mutual trust.
Speaking at a joint statement, Tamazashvili reaffirmed the Georgian Government’s readiness to actively continue cooperation with Turkey and jointly address security challenges facing the two countries and their citizens.
“The visit of my Turkish counterpart once again confirms that cooperation in the security sphere between the two countries is result-oriented and based on mutual trust”, Tamazashvili said.
“Georgia is ready to actively continue cooperation in the future and work together on challenges related to the security of Georgia and Türkiye and the protection of our citizens”, he added.
Tamazashvili thanked his Turkish counterpart and the delegation for their visit to Georgia and what he described as fruitful cooperation.
“I believe that close coordination between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Turkey will continue and be further strengthened in the future”, he concluded.
