Georgian PM arrives in US for UN General Assembly session

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has arrived in the United States with a government delegation to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
As part of the high-level session, Kobakhidze is scheduled to address the General Debate on September 24, where he will present Georgia’s positions and priorities before representatives of UN member states.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also attend the Multilateral Partnership Summit and a high-level panel discussion on peace organised by Finland.
The Georgian Government said Kobakhidze is expected to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of various countries, as well as with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
The meetings and events are expected to focus on international cooperation, regional and global security issues, and Georgia’s priorities on the international agenda.
