Georgian National Agency of Public Registry revokes registration of domestic Conservative Movement/Alt Info political party

The Georgian National Agency of Public Registry on Monday revoked the registration of the domestic Conservative Movement/Alt Info political party as the party's documentation did not meet the requirements of the legislation.
The examination of the legality of the party's registration was launched on the basis of the appeal to the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Georgia.
The examination revealed that the party statutes had not been adopted by the party’s congress, which was required by the current Georgian legislation.
Founders of the Conservative Movement party last year submitted the application to the National Public Registry Agency requesting the registration of the new domestic political party.
The submitted documentation (including the party statutes) was incomplete and the National Public Registry Agency requested to correct the deficiencies in the party’s documentation.
The founders of the party resubmitted corrected documentation in December, including a new version of the party’s statutes to the National Agency of Public Registry.
The National Agency of Public Registry officially registered the Conservative Movement party on December 7, 2021.
