Levan Machavariani

Levan Machavariani, the First Deputy Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party faction in the legislative body, on Saturday discussed the future of Georgia-EU relations, emphasising that Georgia remains committed to fulfilling its obligations under the Association Agreement and describing it as the primary roadmap on the country's path toward European integration.

In his remarks with Imedi TV, Machavariani noted that the next wave of EU enlargement was slated for 2030, asserting that Georgia’s goal was to be the best-prepared candidate among all aspiring nations by that time.

Machavariani further expressed a firm belief that the political landscape within the European Union would undergo a significant transformation by the end of the decade.

“We are deeply convinced that by 2030, the ruling class in the European Union will have completely changed, and nothing will be able to stand in the way of our accession to the EU”, Machavariani concluded.
