Georgian PM highlights NATO Sec Gen’s support for country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity

The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday highlighted the support of NATO and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as the country's Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
Kobakhidze and Stoltenberg held a joint briefing in the Georgian Government Administration.
“It is a great honour for me to host you in Georgia. I want to extend my gratitude to you for your support of our country's Euro-Atlantic aspirations”, Kobakhidze said.
“I am glad that today we once again discussed the matters related to NATO-Georgia cooperation and also Georgia’s integration process [in NATO]. I want to take this opportunity to extend my special gratitude to NATO and personally to the Secretary General for supporting Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity”, Kobkahidze noted.
The Government head also extended his gratitude to Stoltenberg for his “timely" and “fair” statements on the Russian presidential election polling stations in Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
“Also, we highly appreciate the [NATO] Secretary General's timely and fair statements regarding the current events in the occupied territories of Georgia”, Kobakhidze concluded.
