Georgian Parliament official: Georgian delegation to discuss restoring strategic partnership during US visit

Nikoloz Samkharadze, the chair of the foreign relations committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Sunday said that the Georgian delegation’s visit to the United States would focus on advancing Georgian-American relations, including the declared goal of restoring the strategic partnership with the US.
In his remarks, Samkharadze noted that meetings have been scheduled with representatives of both the executive and legislative branches of the US government.
“We will hold meetings with representatives of both the executive and legislative branches. Our discussions will focus on the development of Georgian-American relations. Among our stated objectives is the restoration of the strategic partnership with the United States”, the official said.
“Not only do we aim to restore it, but we also seek to give it greater significance and substance. Accordingly, we will engage in discussions with American representatives around this issue”, he concluded.
