Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday highlighted a “friendly and interesting” conversation with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the 8th Summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan.

In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that Ukraine is a friendly country to Georgia.

“I cannot say anything about the content, given that it was a closed-door meeting, a closed-format meeting, but in general I can say that it was a friendly and interesting conversation that took place between us. The president himself expressed this initiative, we immediately confirmed our readiness and talked about bilateral relations. Essentially, this was the subject of this conversation, and I will say once again that it was an interesting and very friendly conversation”, the PM said.

“Ukraine is a friendly country for us, we have a traditional historical friendship that connects our countries and our peoples, we must take care of this as much as possible, and this was the spirit between them that I shared with the president, I cannot talk about the details”, he concluded.
