Georgian PM congratulates legendary chess champion Nona Gaprindashvili on 85th birthday

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday attended a celebration marking the 85th birthday of legendary Georgian chess Grandmaster Nona Gaprindashvili and extended his congratulations on the occasion.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Sport of Georgia, was held at the Rustaveli National Theatre.
In recognition of her invaluable contribution to the development of Georgia and Georgian sport, Minister of Sport Shalva Gogoladze awarded Nona Gaprindashvili the highest sports prize named after Giorgi Nikoladze.
The legendary chess player is the first recipient of the highest sports award named after Giorgi Nikoladze.
