Georgia to mark its Independence Day on May 26 with large-scale celebrations

Georgia is preparing to mark its Independence Day on May 26 with large-scale celebrations that include military ceremonies, public events, and cultural showcases across the country.
One of the highlights of this year’s celebration is the participation of approximately 700 conscripts, who will take the military oath on Independence Day.
Following the oath-taking, they will officially join the ranks of the Georgian Defence Forces.
Ceremonies will take place not only in Tbilisi, but also in five other historic locations throughout Georgia.
A display of military equipment will accompany the festivities in 21 cities and municipalities, allowing the public to engage with the country's defence capabilities up close.
In Tbilisi, Orbeliani Square and its surrounding areas will serve as key hubs for entertainment and educational activities.
Across the country, citizens can expect national pavilions, exhibitions, and handmade item sales, showcasing Georgian tradition and creativity.
