MEP Danilo Della Valle says OSCE was able to confirm that elections in Georgia conducted “correctly overall”

Danilo Della Valle, a member of the European Parliament, on Tuesday said the OSCE was able to confirm that the parliamentary elections in Georgia held last October were conducted “correctly overall”.
In his remarks at a debate on Georgia in the European Parliament, Della Valle noted that it was “unacceptable” for European elites to wish to change the election results when “this does not coincide with the choices of NATO's foreign policy”.
“The OSCE was able to confirm that the elections were conducted correctly overall. This does not deny the country's problems, which are numerous and we have condemned several laws that exist in Georgia that we do not agree with. But at the same time, the will of the European elites to wish to alter the election result when this does not coincide with the choices of NATO's foreign policy is unacceptable. They even go so far as to legitimise a president even though she is now legally out of office”, the MEP said.
