Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, on Monday pledged to use all platforms to make Georgia one of the most sought-after tourist destinations for travelers from the United Kingdom this year.

In her interview with Imedi TV, Kvrivishvili noted that relevant marketing campaigns were planned for the said purpose.

“In the current year’s budget, we have already included the budget for quite large-scale marketing campaigns. Marketing campaigns have already started in the United Kingdom. We are actively promoting our country. We are increasing Georgia’s tourism potential through several channels. First of all, this is very closely related to close cooperation with airlines”, the Deputy Minister said.

She highlighted separate marketing campaigns with British Airways and easyJet to promote the country and to reach the target audience, tourists, potential passengers.

Kvrivishvili further added that through the British TV Channel 3 (ITV) and under the auspices of the National Tourism Administration, the Economy Ministry was bringing media representatives to Georgia through various platforms.

“We will use all platforms to make Georgia one of the most sought-after tourist destinations from the United Kingdom this year. For this, relevant marketing campaigns are planned and our country will be promoted periodically throughout the year. Most importantly, our plan is for Georgia to be a four-season tourist destination and direct flights will greatly encourage this. Accordingly, the tourist products of various resorts in our country will be promoted seasonally”, she concluded.
