Georgian PM thanks Azerbaijani Gov’t, President Ilham Aliyev for “unwavering support” for Georgia’s strategic national interests, sovereignty, territorial integrity

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday thanked the Azerbaijani Government and President Ilham Aliyev personally for “unwavering support” of Georgia’s strategic national interests, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

In his remarks at a press conference with Aliyev in Baku, Kobakhidze noted that the meeting was “very fruitful and productive”.

“Our partnership and cooperation are built on a solid foundation, which is the traditional, historic friendship between our peoples. This historic friendship is the basis of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan. I am confident that our partnership will continue in this spirit and on this foundation in the future”, the PM said.

“It is very important that we respect each other's strategic national interests, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. I would like to extend special thanks to the Azerbaijani side and personally to President Ilham Aliyev for their strong and unwavering support in this regard”, Kobakhidze concluded.
