Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday sent Independence Day wishes to Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, highlighting the importance of relations between China and Georgia.
In his congratulatory letter, Xi expressed readiness to work together to elevate bilateral ties to a “new height”.
“On the occasion of the Independence Day of Georgia, I would like to convey cordial congratulations and best wishes to you and the friendly Georgian people.China and Georgia are good friends with mutual respect and good partners with equality and mutual benefit. Currently, China-Georgia relations are gaining good momentum with political ties further strengthened, strategic cooperation enriched and multilateral collaboration more fruitful. I attach high importance to China-Georgia relations and stand ready to work with you to lead the bilateral relations to a new height, so as to better serve the people of our two countries I wish Georgia prosperity and its people happiness”, Xi noted in a letter.
