Mamuka Mdinaradze, Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and State Minister for the Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies, on Wednesday said that Georgia’s law enforcement agencies, Government, and state institutions remain committed to fostering a society free as far as possible from crime, hate speech, and confrontation.

In his remarks at a briefing, Mdinaradze noted that the Georgian state had reached a “historic high” in terms of public safety, the effectiveness of combating various types of crime, and the quality of real-time preventive measures.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to every employee of the agencies I have referred to today, who serve with unwavering dedication and high professionalism, often at the risk of their own lives. It is truly an honour to serve our country alongside them”, the Vice PM said.

“In short, it can be said that the Georgian state is at a historic high in terms of security, the results achieved in combating various types of crime, and the quality of real-time preventive measures. However, I would like to state clearly that our goal is not to have a high number of detained, prosecuted, or fined individuals”, he continued.

Mdinaradze further added that the Georgian Government is not satisfied merely with the fact that Georgia is already one of the safest countries in the world.

“The goal of Georgia’s law enforcement system, the Government, and state institutions is to build a country and society as free as possible from crime, hate speech, and confrontation. The Government is not satisfied merely with the fact that Georgia is already one of the safest countries in the world”, he noted.

“We are working to achieve the best possible results in every direction, and we will certainly accomplish this, particularly with the support of the public and by safeguarding the country’s independence”, Mdinaradze concluded.
