Georgian PM: Space Summit addresses issues of importance to global security

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said on Thursday that the first international summit on space issues, which he is attending at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, is addressing a topic of importance to global security.

Kobakhidze said Georgia is involved in decision-making on relevant issues through various international platforms and stressed the importance of hearing different views and positions at the summit.

The Prime Minister thanked Macron for inviting him to the event.

“The summit addresses a topic of importance to global security. Georgia is involved in decision-making on relevant issues on various international platforms. Therefore, it is important for us to hear different views and positions at this summit so that the country can formulate the right position on all issues and make the right decisions going forward. I would like to thank French President Emmanuel Macron for inviting me to this summit”, he said.

“Yesterday, I also had the opportunity to speak with several leaders of different countries on various issues, including the situation in Georgia. Naturally, we make the most of such formats for these kinds of discussions as well”, Kobakhidze concluded.
