Parliament Speaker says Tabula, propaganda media arm of opposition European Georgia party, is funded from state budget of Finland

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Thursday said Tabula, the propaganda media arm of the opposition European Georgia party, was funded from the state budget of Finland.
In his remarks, Papuashvili noted the development showed the funding of the political party.
“Recently, we accidentally learned that Tabula, a propaganda media tool of the European Georgia party, is funded from the state budget of Finland. Everyone knows that Tabula is a wall newspaper of the European Georgia party”, Papuashvili said.
Papuashvili expressed his concerns about the funding of the media outlet Tabula by the Finnish state budget, suggesting that this financial support extended to the opposition European Georgia party.
“When it is funded by a foreign country, therefore, the party is funded by it. When we see such cases, it makes us wonder. It contradicts European values: on the one hand, talking about depolarisation, equal opportunities and, on the other hand, funding political parties bypassing the law”, he concluded.
