Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday strongly condemned what he described as a “hate campaign”, emphasising that differing political views should not lead to insults or physical altercations.
Responding to media questions about the ongoing “hate campaign”, Kaladze stated, “what we are seeing and hearing is categorically unacceptable. These are deliberate actions”.
He elaborated on the importance of respectful discourse, even amidst political disagreements.
“We may have different political views and opinions on various issues, but that doesn't mean we should physically assault each other, insult each other, and so on”, he continued.
Kaladze urged for mutual listening and respect among political figures.
“We are politicians; no one is asking for love towards each other, but respect is essential”, he concluded.
