Turkish Parliament Speaker backs Georgia’s territorial integrity, hopes for presidential visit next month

Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, on Tuesday expressed hope that the Georgian President would pay a visit to Turkey next month, which, he noted, would further strengthen relations between the two countries.
In his remarks, Kurtulmuş expressed his belief and desire that such high-level exchanges would accelerate and intensify cooperation between the countries.
“I would like to take this opportunity to underline that we are ready for any kind of cooperation with Georgia. On behalf of Turkey, I reaffirm our support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and we emphasise this at every international forum”, he concluded.
